Progressive overload!! Must do!

Why am I not getting stronger?!

I have been working out for years and I feel like I have not gotten any stronger!

Progressive overload what is it and how do we do it?

First…. what is it? Progressive overload is gradually increasing the stress on the body sooooo what does that mean? Well there are multiple ways of increasing stress on the body during your fitness regiment. for example…

  1. Increase your weights

  2. increase your reps

  3. Less rest between sets

  4. Greater range of motion

  5. Training more often

Train the same, stay the same is something we hear often but it is actually true! Challenge yourself. At first it would be tough but soon the new weights, reps or whatever routine change will become easy and when that happens….. do it again…. that the progressive part of progressive overload!
